(Splendora, Texas) The Splendora Independent School District (SISD) has selected Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) to be the Program Manager for the completion of the voter-approved 2022 $201 million bond. LAN will provide program management services, overseeing $86 million for the construction of two new replacement elementary schools on greenfield sites.
The replacement of Peach Creek Elementary School and Greenleaf Elementary School will each encompass approximately 130,000 square feet, providing ample space for classrooms, administrative offices, specialized facilities, and recreational areas. Each school will serve grades PK-5 and have a capacity for 1,000 students to support the growing school district.
SISD Superintendent Jeff Burke, Ed.D. said, “As Splendora ISD moves forward into the needs of a fast-growth district, we look forward to working with LAN on two new Elementary replacement campuses. These campuses will provide exceptional learning environments to students currently attending class in our oldest facilities. The bond initiative is part of the District’s master plan to meet the needs of the students and community. SISD serves more than 4,000 students in Pre-K through high school. Both elementary schools are currently expected to be completed by August 2025.
